Uyuni Salt Flat

Uyuni Salt Flat is located in the Potosi Department in southwest Bolivia. It can be seen with the naked eye from space and is the largest salt flat in the world. It is about 12 square kilometers and it is positioned at 3,600 meters above sea level.
The salt flat has no comparison, I must point out that there are other salt flats on the planet, but in none you can enjoy the “border between heaven and earth” as the locals say. In fact, in Bolivia, the salt flat is considered the capital of tourism. ¡So imagine how visited it is!

I have 2 packages to visit the Salar de Oyuni, specifically on February and October. Although it seems repetitive, it is not! each season offers different activities and experiences. Obviously there are activities that coincide, but I assure you, when you visit the salt flat you will be amazed.
Through our program you will know well the emblematic areas of the salt flat and we will guide you by hand, so you can capture incredible moments and photographs.
The circuits we designed will allow you to enjoy and discover what this destination offers. On one hand, during our tours we will have activities at all hours and on the other hand, all meals and transfer are included. For more details, keep reading!
On our tour by the salt flat we can enjoy the magnificent natural landscapes, the conformations of dunes or figures that are formed by the wind in the salt flat spaces. Occasionally we can see groups of Andean flamingos touring the salt flat.
The staff has wide experience offering service and attention to photographers, group tours and individual or private circuits. Our guides and circuit leaders work full time, they perfectly know the terrain and tour areas. We seek to offer you a unique, welcoming and personal experience.
We have an experience of more than 10 years in the destination. We work together with highly experienced guides who know every corner of the salt flat. We organize groups with no more than 12 people, four (4) people per vehicle to allow them to move safely and load photography equipment without major inconvenience.
All our programs allow you to know each destination in detail. The indicated dates are chosen with great care so your visit is of maximum benefit.
Our programs start departing from Panama City, or if you prefer, as the majority of our clients do, we meet at the destination. Depending on the time and day of arrival, we can immediately start our adventure, or sometimes we spend the first night in downtown and leave the next day.
Once being in the salt flat we will start with the program considering the time of the visit. Remember that we have two options to visit the salt flat: February and October.
We use Land Cruiser-type vehicles who are optimized to observe and take the tour throughout the Salar de Uyuni, offering comfort and safety to their occupants. If a vehicle is not fill the minimum of 2 people, you can choose another date or pay a supplement, whatever your preference. Usually 4 to 5 people per vehicle are accommodated.
Our hosting sites vary from the time of year. The hotels we offer are located near the salar periphery, which gives us access to it in a matter of minutes to maximize the visit.
What we do guarantee is the highest quality in your accommodation by making an unforgettable experience on your visit. It is important to point out that we have more than 10 years of experience organizing this type of adventure tours.
We are committed to nature and its preservation. That is why we are responsible of taking care of our business management and all transfers with the greatest care. When arriving at nature reserves the priority are parks and wildlife, so the park rangers and all the staff look out for ensure subsistence to continue enjoying nature.
Our driver/guide will be, always! more than willing to locate the vehicles in positions that allow us to take photos of the different places, landscapes and wildlife.
Cyril Joseph will support you in the use of your photographic equipment relating to composition, location and other elements, so that you can take home the best memories.
To offer you a quality service and personalized attention, we organize groups with a maximum of 12 people, 4 to 5 occupants per vehicle. If you are a solo traveler, you will be accommodated with another person and will be part of the group in the travel vehicles.

The Salar de Uyuni all-inclusive circuit costs USD1,750.00 per person. Reservations are guaranteed with a deposit of USD500.00 per person. We must receive the full balance cost not less than 3 months prior to departure.

The Salar de Uyuni tour is divided into 2 packages. The CLASSIC package costs USD 985.00 per person with an additional optional flight (La Paz – Uyuni) for an extra $165.00. The LUXURY package costs USD 1250.00 per person with an additional optional flight (La Paz – Uyuni) for an extra $225.00. Reservations are guaranteed with a deposit of $250.00 per person. ITINERARY
5 days 4 nights, all meals indicated. Transfers, Spanish-speaking guide, all meals (validate itinerary) entrances to tours and excursions.
DAY # 1:
Arrival in the city of Uyuni, Bolivia. City Tour scheduled for the afternoon (optional depending on your arrival time)
DAY # 2:
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the train cemetery. Visit to the town of Colchani. Visit to salt piles and museums.
Visit to the Playa Blanca museum. Sunset at the Salar de Uyuni for taking pictures with wines and snacks. Lunch and dinner included.
DAY # 3
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the Ollage Volcano Viewpoint. Visit to the Colorada, Hedionda and Cañapa lagoons.
Visit to the Dalí desert, Siloli desert and stone tree. Lunch and dinner included.
The salt flat has 14 small islands, the most important of which is Incahuasi Island, located in the center of the Salar de Uyuni.
Around the island you can see the Ojos del Agua, these are vents that act as pores of the salt flats. In this place you will have time to take the famous crazy photos in the Salar.
DAY # 4
At 5:30am we leave for the morning sun (volcanic zone) Visit to geysers and fumaroles. Visit and entry to the Polques hot springs. Visit to green and white lagoons. Visit to the Licancabur volcano. Visit to the Valley of the Rocks. Visit to the Church of San Cristobal. Breakfast and lunch and dinner included.
DAY # 5
Breakfast. Free morning and Return to La Paz.
