Brief description of the destination

Istanbul, a magical city full of history, culture and amazing architecture. Here you will be able to photograph the city’s iconic landmarks such as the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar. You will also have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the daily life of Istanbul, photographing local people in the markets, alleys and historic neighborhoods.

Throughout the trip, you will be accompanied by professional photographers who will give you tips and tricks to improve your photography skills. In addition, you will have time to review and improve your photos in image review and critique sessions. Then our trip takes us to Cappadocia, a unique region in central Turkey known for its stunning landscapes of fairy chimneys, conical rock formations and underground cities carved into the rock. Here you will have the opportunity to capture spectacular images of hot air balloons rising over Cappadocia’s iconic landscapes at sunrise, as well as explore the intricate details of ancient underground cities and rock-cut monasteries.

Our trip includes accommodation in a double room with breakfast, transportation once we meet in Turkey (international flights not included), and photography advice. Itinerary

We will arrive in Istanbul where we will be picked up at the airport and transferred to our hotel for a team dinner and welcome briefing. Check-in at the hotel and dinner.

 

We wake up early, have breakfast and head to the airport for our flight to Cappadocia. It is a flight of approximately 2 hours. In the afternoon we will have time to visit some places of interest. Check-in at the hotel.

6:00 Sunrise Balloon Photography. We will enjoy some sports to take photos of the immense landscape filled with balloons over the city of Cappadocia.

Short hike through Devrent Valley. Known as the Valley of Imagination, it stands out for its rock formations that resemble figures and animals, stimulating creativity.

There are no marked trails, allowing you to freely explore and find unique angles for photos.

Sunset in Red Valley. It offers stunning views of rock formations tinged in red and pink tones, especially beautiful at sunset. It is ideal for hiking and capturing the contrast of vibrant colors against the blue sky.

5:30: Hot Air Balloon Flight (for those who have booked it, if you are interested, I recommend purchasing it in advance to get a spot). The rest of us head to the take-off point to photograph the spectacle of the balloon inflation and take-off.

9:00 Departure to Uçhisar. Famous for its imposing rock-cut castle, it offers spectacular views of Cappadocia from its highest point.

8:30 Panoramic View of Goreme. The heart of Cappadocia, known for its rock-cut churches with Byzantine frescoes in the Göreme National Park.

9:30 Pigeon Valley. Famous for its countless pigeon niches in the rocks and panoramic views of fairy chimneys.

14:30 Departure to Hurmetci (Photography rural village and Cappadocian horses at sunset). Hurmetci is less known but equally charming, offering an authentic experience of rural life in Cappadocia.

Its agricultural landscapes with a volcano in the background provide a unique perspective of the balance between nature and human life, perfect for photos that capture the essence of everyday life in the region.

20:00 Return to Hotel.

 

 

9:00 Visit Goreme Open Air Museum.

11:30 We leave for Lake Tuz. One of the largest salt lakes in the world, it is famous for its crystal-clear surface that reflects the sky, creating fascinating optical illusions. The salt forms unique patterns and textures, ideal for abstract and minimalist landscape photography.

13:30 Visit an authentic Silk Road Caravanserai.

14:00 Free time for lunch

16:30 Lake Tuz to photograph the sunset on the largest salt lake on the Eurasian continent.

19:00 Return to the hotel and free time for dinner

23:00 Fairy Chimneys Night Photography.

 

7:30 Transfer to Nevsehir Airport

12:00 Arrival at Istanbul Hotel

13:00 Visit to the Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar. Lunch at the most famous Traditional Kebab in Istanbul.

15:00 Bosphorus and Galata Bridge. The Bosphorus, which separates Europe and Asia in Istanbul, offers stunning views of palaces, mosques and fortresses along its banks. The Galata Bridge or Fisherman’s Bridge is an iconic spot to capture local life, fishermen at sunset and the contrast between modernity and history, with the bustle of the city and the calm flow of the water.

16:00 Visit to the Asian side to photograph the sunset and free time for dinner.

09:00 Basilica Cistern. With its mysterious atmosphere and submerged columns, it offers a unique photographic experience. The dim lights and reflection of the water create a serene atmosphere, highlighting the Byzantine architecture and the famous Medusa heads.

11:00 Blue Mosque. With its six minarets and imposing domes, it is an emblem of Istanbul. Its interior, adorned with more than 20,000 blue İznik tiles, illuminates the space with natural light that filters through its 260 windows, creating a unique spiritual and photogenic environment.

13:00 Hagia Sophia. A former basilica, mosque and now museum, it stands out for its imposing dome and rich history that crosses cultures and religions. Its interior houses Byzantine mosaics and Islamic calligraphy, offering a unique fusion of art and architecture that captures the essence of Istanbul as a crossroads between East and West.

15:00 Lunch near Mosque Square.

Photographs, Shopping, Visits… (There will be scheduled activities in case someone doesn’t dare to move alone, so they can come with us.)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport. We will leave the hotel at 08:30h. The return trip to the airport takes 45 minutes.
